Weldon R. Davis

Born September 7, 1957
Son of the late Jack and Bertha Davis
Father was born and grew up in Cowpens, SC
Mother grew up in Glendale, SC
Attended school in upstate New York and Spartanburg Tech
Divorced with 2 adult children, Kenneth and Paul Davis
Resident of Spartanburg county for over 30 years
Golf Course Superintendent of Lan-Yair Country Club from 1980 thru October 2004 when it closed for developement
Currently the Golf Course Superintendent of The Creek Golf Club--position held since 1999.
From 1999 thru October 2004 managed both operations
Small Business owner
28 years experience preparing and implementing budgets and managing people
Continually attends seminars and conferences to stay up to date on regulatory laws, pesticide uses, environmental issues, management and budgeting skils
Advisor to the board of directors of the First Tee of Spartanburg
Member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America
Member of the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendent Association
Member of the South Carolina Turfgrass Foundation
Member of the Pacolet Lions Club
